I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. What a fun day her birth day was! It snowed the day after she was born, making the hospital room so cozy and glowing. At 6 pounds and 7 ounces, she was so tiny. The first few weeks she would only sleep on my chest at night. I knew to do whatever it took to get some sleep. Now, those memories are so precious to me. I was reminded of them last night when Saylor woke up around midnight crying. I went upstairs and I let her "rock a minute", cherishing her snuggled up to my chest just as she was two years earlier. Awwww, now I've gone and gotten myself all weepy here at my desk. I am just overwhelmed with love for these fast growing girls. I would include a photo her of newborn Saylor but I still haven't gotten my data recovered from our hard drive crash.
Here are some party shots from last night! We had a couple of Saylor's friends and parents over and Luckily for Harper, most of them have older siblings who are her friends as well! I lost my camera for most of the party (8 kids under the age of 4 is chaos). So, I'm missing many photos I wish I had, like one with me and Ryan and Saylor! I'll be sure to get one of us tonight.
That's all for now! The girls and I are headed upstairs to watch the Disney Princesses Sing-A-Long DVD that Ryan & I got her. :-)
(As I was just finishing this blog, I heard Saylor sitting behind me sucking on something saying "mmmmm...ice cream". I turned around and there she was, sitting on the floor, sucking what was left of the cake and icing off of the minnie mouse that was on her birthday cake.)
